August, 2008 -- Kaye's moved back to the West Coast!

As I bid adieu to New York City, I want to extend big "thanks!" to all of the actors, directors and crew that I've had the pleasure of working with over the past two years. I hope you'll keep me up-to-date on your careers and that we'll have the chance to work together again in the future!

Kaye's Projects -- News and Updates:

I've just completed my very first music video -- the song is "Broken," performed by the "post-grunge" band, Life House. It was a long, much-too-sunny day (I absolutely need to get some sunblock!), but it's a great song and I think the video will look terrific. An added bonus is that the video was directed by Kiefer Sutherland!

Big news from director Stephanie, who has finished editing the short film, "A Trip to the Planetarium." The "world premiere" was May 15th, 2008, at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. The following day, Stephanie flew off to Cannes to participate in the Short Film Corner! Click HERE to see the flyer.

After a few hectic days of filming in early July, 2008, Cathy is now working on editing her short film, "Jane." Thanks to a wonderful cast and crew, and big thanks to Dr. Maria for letting us take over her amazing house in the Poconos for the shoot. We hope to soon have good news about the film, and you can follow its progress at Cathy's website, Sir Murray Productions. Our "family portrait" can be seen on the Production Stills page of this website.

It took two weekends (and a lot of paperwork), but we wrapped the short film, "The Street Crossing" in June, 2008. ADR was completed in July, and Miki is now editing the final product. Check back for more details as they become available! You can see some screen shots on the Production Stills page of this website.

In May, 2008, I was part of a scene for the re-vamped PBS show "The Electric Company," and had the pleasure of watching the performances of Jason Antoon and Jack McBrayer. It was definitely a fun experience!

Our original one-act play, "Saturday with the Georges," premiered at this year's (2008) Strawberry One-Act Festival. Although it was well received, we didn't continue past the semi-finals. You can see a picture of me, in character as Barbara Bush, on the Production Stills page of this website.

In early December, 2007, I had a role in a local commercial for CityWide Plumbing. You can see a clip of the ad on the Clips page of this website.

Joyce Jahnke cast me in a small role in her upcoming film, "Dynamic Intuition," and we completed filming during the month of December, 2007. You can watch the film's progress at her website.

In November, 2007, I appeared in an internet commercial for Spinner.com. You can see a behind-the-scenes picture on the Production Stills page of this website. A link to the ad is on the Clips page -- check it out!

After a few busy weekends, we completed filming the first episode of "Paradise Arms Apartments" in late 2007. The episode is now in post production, and we're hoping for completion by early 2009. In this sit-com pilot, I was able to use my Irish accent again as nosy neighbor, Mrs. Mahoney. You can find links to some rough cuts from the pilot on the Clips page!

Filming has wrapped on the feature film, "Grave Danger," and director Jim is busy editing the project. My scene was a tender exchange between a husband and his very ill wife, and it was wonderful to have the chance to play an entirely new type of character. There are a couple of "names" attached to this project, and we're hoping it will attract some notice. Be sure to check it out on IMDB.com!

I was fortunate to be included in a comedy skit which featured comedians Steve Byrne and Kyle Grooms. The skit aired Sunday, 9/9/07, on CBS Sports' "NFL Today," and you can view the clip (and see my close-up!) on the Clips page of this website.

In late 2007, I spent a day filming scenes for the feature-length film "The Likes of Us". Thanks, Sandy, for including me in this wonderful project!

Unfortunately, "Cross to Canaan Valley" didn't make the final cut at Screamfest L.A. 2007, but it was still a terrific experience!

JR's short film, "Eliot Rocket," is now complete, and a clip from the film can be viewed on the Clips page of this site.

A clip from "False Patina" (our entry in the Summer, 2007, 48 Hour Film Project) is now also available on the Clips page.

Mags is still working on the final cut of "Today, Tomorrow, The Day After," and I hope to have more news on that soon. Also, we continue to keep our fingers crossed that she'll be able to return to the U.S. soon!

Director/Producers Pat and Gina are still hoping to land a distribution deal for "The Memorial Counselor." If you have any leads, please let me know!
